Condition
Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The original military blued finish shows thinning at the muzzle and high edges, with scattered superficial scratches and minor blemishing consistent with service and age. The 3.4-inch barrel has a relatively clean bore with strong rifling and light frosting appropriate for its vintage. The DA/SA action with semi-exposed hammer functions properly. The original checkered walnut grips are structurally sound and display typical handling wear with smoothing of the checkering.

This Army-accepted HSc is a Fourth Variation example produced in 1943, during WWII. It carries the E/WaA135 Waffenamt acceptance mark and the Eagle/N commercial proof, aligning with its period manufacture at Mauser-Werke A.G., Oberndorf am Neckar, Germany. The trigger guard shows a "Dirty Bird" stamp, and the slide bears the Mauser banner with the standard wartime legend.
The pistol uses a DA/SA blowback operating system with a safety/decocker and a semi-exposed, partially shrouded hammer. Capacity is 8+1 in .32 ACP, with a heel-style magazine catch. The compact size and 3.4-inch barrel make it a classic service sidearm profile from the era.
Construction is all-steel with a blued finish on both slide and frame. The slide has rear diagonal serrations for purchase. Sights are fixed, consisting of a small front blade and a rear notch. The original walnut grips are checkered and fit the frame correctly.
This configuration reflects the wartime Army-accepted HSc pattern, combining correct proofs, period markings, and the key mechanical features associated with mid-war production. Made in Germany, it presents as a solid representative of Mauser’s WWII-era engineering.
