The American Classic configuration showcases a walnut stock with cut checkering, a straight comb, a contrasting black fore-end tip, a rubber recoil pad, and front and rear sling-swivel studs. A grip-cap medallion and two crossbolt/pillar plugs complete the stock details.
The 22-inch carbon steel barrel wears a polished blued finish, uses a sporter contour with a recessed crown, and has no iron sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and the rifle arrives with two-piece scope bases already mounted.
The bolt-action system incorporates a jeweled bolt body with a round, checkered bolt knob, a separate bolt head, and right-hand ejection. Savage's AccuTrigger is user-adjustable and includes an integrated trigger safety blade.
Feeding is via a detachable, single-stack short-action magazine with a 4+1 capacity. The included magazine is marked "STD. SHORT" with factory cautions, and the rifle is chambered in .308 Winchester.
