It is the non-TSW standard configuration without an accessory rail, part of the first wave of pistols launched alongside the .40 S&W cartridge in 1990 and widely used in U.S. law enforcement, notably by the California Highway Patrol. Specific Condition Notes: Scratches and blemishes are present on the pistol. There is very minor pitting on the frame and slide. The bore is clean and shiny, and the feed ramp is reflective. The leather interior of the included holster is starting to peel in certain sections.

The Model 4006 is a 3rd Generation, full-size .40 S&W with a stainless steel frame and slide in a matte stainless finish. It uses a 4-inch barrel and a DA/SA operating system with a spurred, serrated hammer and a left-side push-button magazine release.
Safety features include an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker, a firing pin block, and a magazine disconnect safety. The slide incorporates an external extractor and a lowered ejection port.
Sights are a fixed 3-dot arrangement, with a white dot front and a low-mount fixed rear that is drift-adjustable via a dovetail set screw. The rear sight is secured by the dovetail set screw.
Grip and ergonomics include a one-piece wraparound black synthetic grip with S&W medallions, a checkered front strap, and a serrated front of the trigger guard. This example is the non-TSW standard 4006 configuration without an accessory rail.
