Built by A. Uberti and imported by Navy Arms, this U.S. Cavalry Model Schofield faithfully reflects the hallmark features of the original pattern. It is a single-action-only, top-break revolver with simultaneous automatic star extraction and a six-shot fluted cylinder. The gun is made in Italy and is marked with Italian proof stamps along with 'A.
UBERTI MADE IN ITALY' and 'NAVY ARMS CO. RIDGEFIELD N.J.'
The 7-inch steel barrel is ribbed and carries a pinned brass blade front sight, with a V-notch rear sight in the top latch for a period-correct sight picture. The barrel rib is marked 'SCHOFIELD'S PAT'S JUNE 20TH 71. APR 22ND 73.'
Construction and finish details are aligned with the historic pattern: blued steel frame, barrel, and cylinder, complemented by a color case-hardened latch, hammer, and trigger guard. The smooth, two-piece walnut grips use brass escutcheons; the right panel is stamped '1877' over an oval monogram cartouche. The butt is marked 'US.' This example is configured without a lanyard ring.
Chambered in .45 Colt, the revolver retains a clean, authoritative presentation suited to enthusiasts of the Schofield pattern. Its strong condition, sharp markings, and Navy Arms import lineage make it a clear, collectible representation of the Cavalry configuration.
