What’s Included
- Remington Model 510 "The Targetmaster" 510A Standard .22 LR single-shot bolt-action rifle
The Model 510 is a single-shot, bolt-action rimfire with a manual two-position safety and a knurled rear cocking piece. It feeds one round at a time, offering simple operation with a capacity of one.
Its 25-inch steel barrel is crowned and rifled, paired with open sights: a fixed blade/bead front on a pedestal and a barrel-mounted rear leaf with a stepped elevator. This traditional sight setup matches the rifle’s period-correct configuration.
Materials and markings are distinctive to the Targetmaster line. The receiver is made from seamless drawn steel tubing, and the barreled action wears a blued finish. The barrel and receiver carry patent rollmarks and "Model 510 The Targetmaster," with the caliber marking ".22 Short/Long/Long Rifle." Hardware includes a stamped steel trigger guard and a black checkered composition Remington-logo buttplate.
The full-size wood stock has uncheckered surfaces, a straight comb, and a small pistol grip. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, and the approximate factory weight is about 4 lb 12 oz. No sling swivels were observed. Typical for pre-1968 production, these rifles often left the factory without serial numbers.
