Built in Germany and produced circa 1977–1986, the Mod. 80 is a purpose-built, single-shot match pistol known for its smooth sidelever cocking system and consistent spring-piston powerplant. Typical Model 80 references list velocities in the ~475–525 fps range with a weight around ~2.8–3.2 lb, aligning with its match-focused design.
The action features a spring-piston, sidelever-cocked mechanism and a single-shot loading setup that supports repeatable shot placement. An adjustable match trigger with an adjustable trigger shoe allows fine-tuning to the shooter’s preference. Anti-glare serrations on the receiver aid sight focus under bright lighting.
Ergonomics are centered on precision. The anatomical hardwood target grip includes an adjustable palm shelf to tailor fit and control. Sighting is via a hooded/tunnel front and a micrometer-adjustable rear, providing the fine adjustments expected on a competition pistol.
The steel frame and receiver wear a uniform blued/black finish. This example bears the German F-in-pentagon mark (≤7.5 J) and the BKA 57 diamond stamp, along with a maker address including D-7238 Oberndorf/N., reinforcing its German manufacture and compliance. Under-barrel counterweights specific to the Model 80 are included but not installed, giving the buyer the option to tune balance.
