Made in Italy by A. Uberti for Cimarron, this Open Top Army is chambered in .45 S&W Schofield and is clearly marked on the barrel accordingly. Its 7.5 inch barrel, unfluted six-shot cylinder, and single-action-only operation keep it true to the classic configuration.
The revolver uses the period-correct open-top frame with no topstrap, secured by a wedge-and-arbor barrel attachment. A right-side ejector-rod housing with a circular ejector button supports straightforward case removal, and the steel grip frame adds durability.
Fit and finish are classic for the type: a color case-hardened frame paired with a blued barrel and cylinder, complemented by a one-piece varnished walnut grip. The cylinder carries a factory roll-engraved scene that adds an authentic visual touch without departing from the original style.
Sighting is simple and robust, with a rear V-notch milled into the back of the barrel and a small silver-colored front blade. The 1851 Navy-sized grip profile provides a familiar hand feel within the Open Top family while maintaining the period look.
