What’s Included
- Marlin Model 80G .22 LR bolt-action rifle
- One detachable 5-round steel box magazine
The Model 80G operates with a smooth, manually cycled bolt and uses a detachable 5-round steel magazine, giving a 5+1 total capacity. The action features an open-top receiver with right-side ejection for easy loading and clearing. A two-position sliding safety is located at the right rear of the receiver for straightforward operation.
The 22-inch barrel is finished with a recessed crown. Sighting is via a ramped front post and an open rear leaf with an elevator; no front sight hood is present. This simple, durable sight setup matches the rifle’s utilitarian design.
The hardwood stock is a sporter profile with an uncheckered, straight comb and no cheekpiece. It is fitted with a hard plastic serrated buttplate, and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches. A metal trigger guard with an oval profile complements the rifle’s steel components.
The receiver top is drilled and tapped with two holes, and no 3/8-inch grooves are observed. An inletted rectangular steel plate is set beneath the fore-end (function not labeled). This rifle was produced in the United States and is serial number exempt, consistent with many pre-1968 rimfire firearms.
