- Winchester Model 70 Standard Grade .22-250 Rem. rifle

Built in 1967, this rifle represents pre-'G' prefix production during the 1960s era of the Model 70. It uses the Post-64 push-feed action and retains a jeweled bolt body, providing the smooth cycling associated with this period.
The 22-inch Winchester Proof Steel barrel is a sporter profile. The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with two-piece scope bases. No open sights are installed, and the barrel top shows two plugged sight holes.
The walnut stock has a Monte Carlo comb and cheekpiece with impressed checkering. It includes sling swivel studs, a black grip cap with the Winchester W medallion, and a black checkered buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Controls and capacity are true to the Standard Grade format: an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate provides 5-round capacity, and a wing-type safety is located on the bolt shroud.
This configuration marks the first catalog year for the Model 70 in .22-250 Remington, made in the United States and reflecting hallmark Winchester design choices of the late 1960s.
