Built as a faithful reproduction in South Korea during the 1960s–1970s, this Tower-pattern flintlock follows the horse pistol style associated with British Light Dragoon/New Land patterns. The maker is unidentified, but the barrel is stamped KOREA and also bears a circular S-style logo, matching known Korean export markings from the period.
The pistol is configured with a 9-inch round steel barrel that features turned breech rings. It wears a full-length hardwood stock finished in a light brown varnish that runs to the muzzle, consistent with the period pattern. Brass furniture includes a trigger guard with pointed finials, a butt cap, a serpentine sideplate, and a ramrod pipe, all in the traditional layout.
The lock is a single-shot flintlock with an external frizzen and pan, paired with a ring-neck cock. It is built without sights, in keeping with many original horse pistols of this type, and it uses a slotted tang screw. Both the barrel and lock show a uniform dark browned/blue finish that complements the brass hardware and wood stock.
This is a full-size .69 caliber example with a 1-round capacity, aligning with the classic service profile. As a reproduction muzzleloading pistol, it captures the form and handling of the Tower-pattern horse pistol while presenting clean lines and period-correct details throughout.
