Built on Colt's E-frame and made in the United States in 1910, this Army Special represents an early example of Colt's robust service revolver line. It pairs classic Colt construction with period-correct features and clean mechanical configuration.
The revolver uses a 6-inch carbon-steel barrel and a blued steel frame, with a six-shot fluted cylinder. It retains the unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled round knob and a square-butt grip frame, giving it the recognizable Army Special profile.
Sighting is fixed, with a pinned half-moon front blade and a square-notch rear milled into the topstrap. The action is double action/single action, and it incorporates the Colt Positive Lock safety system.
Stocks are checkered black hard rubber with the raised "COLT" oval. The barrel top bears the Colt Hartford address/patent line, and an inspector mark "8" appears below the serial area.
Custom touches on this example include a Pachmayr rubber grip adapter on the frontstrap and a non-factory round medallion inset on the right side of the frame, both noted as non-factory additions.
