The blackpowder-frame configuration uses a screw-retained cylinder base pin, echoing early production details. The 5.5 inch barrel, fixed blade front sight, and topstrap integral notch rear sight deliver the traditional 1873 pattern profile. An ejector rod with a bullseye head sits in a full-length housing on the right side.
Construction is all steel, with a color case-hardened frame and receiver paired to a blued barrel and blued cylinder. The hammer is an SAA-style spur, and the grips are two-piece varnished walnut with no medallions, completing the period-correct look and feel.
Markings include Italian proof and date code cartouches and "A. UBERTI - ITALY" on the underside of the ejector housing, underscoring its Italian manufacture. The barrel is rollmarked "S.A. CAL. .357 MAG." Matching serials are found on the butt and cylinder.
The factory box label lists Taylor’s & Co. as the importer and incorrectly notes "S.A. Bisley," though this revolver is the standard Cattleman/SAA configuration. This example is a reproduction of the 1873 pattern and was manufactured in 2002.
