This late-1980s Smith & Wesson Model 29-3 pairs classic .44 Magnum performance with a high-polish blued carbon-steel build and a long 5.75-inch barrel. It features a Full-Lug shroud, fully adjustable rear sight, and a pinned ramp front blade. Case-colored wide target hammer and smooth wide trigger controls, along with aftermarket Hogue Monogrip rubber finger-groove grips, complete a configuration that is both controllable and true to the era.

    What’s Included

    • Smith & Wesson Model 29-3 .44 Rem Magnum revolver
    • Installed Hogue Monogrip rubber finger-groove grips (aftermarket)

The Model 29-3 is a double-action/single-action .44 Rem Magnum with a six-shot fluted cylinder. This example retains the Full-Lug ejector-rod shroud and an undrilled topstrap with no scope-base holes. The checkered cylinder latch and precise factory adjustable sighting system support confident handling and sight alignment.

Its high-polish blued finish over carbon-steel frame, cylinder, and barrel presents the classic S&W look from this production period. The case-colored wide spur hammer and wide smooth trigger are period-correct features that provide positive control during DA or SA operation.

Sights consist of a fully adjustable square-notch rear and a pinned ramp front blade, allowing straightforward zeroing with various .44 Magnum loads. The pinned front also enables blade swaps if desired.

Fitted with aftermarket Hogue Monogrip rubber finger-groove grips, the revolver offers a secure, hand-filling hold that complements the .44 Magnum chambering and the 5.75-inch barrel’s extended sight radius. Markings include: "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS."

Manufactured in the United States during 1988–1989, this 29-3 reflects the design and finish characteristics of its late-1980s production window while maintaining the robust .44 Magnum capability the Model 29 line is known for.
