The Vzor 70 uses a simple blowback, hammer-fired DA/SA system with a ring-spur hammer featuring a lightening hole. Its compact steel frame and slide wear a blued finish, paired with black checkered polymer grips carrying the CZ roundel. Chambered in .32 ACP, it holds 8+1 rounds and uses a 3.78 inch steel barrel.
Controls are straightforward and purpose-built: a manual safety, a decocker, and a loaded chamber indicator. The slide has rear serrations and an anti-glare rib, and the pistol uses fixed sights with a front blade and rear notch. The slide locks open on empty via the magazine follower, and there is no external slide-stop lever by design.
Disassembly is via the hinged trigger guard, allowing quick field-stripping. Magazines are generally interchangeable with those of the vz.50, adding practical flexibility for sourcing spares.
Markings and proofs include the Czech rampant-lion proof with an 81 year code and a bold MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA slide marking, underscoring its Cold War-era origin and production history.
