Manufactured in 1914, this Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless Type III is a U.S.-made, John M. Browning–designed .32 ACP with a non-standard gold-colored plated finish. It features the Type III configuration without the barrel bushing, a 3.75 inch barrel, and an 8+1 capacity. The manual thumb safety also functions as a slide hold-open, and the pistol retains its fixed sights and original-style black checkered hard rubber grips with COLT banner and Rampant Colt.

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The action cycles smoothly and the trigger has a crisp break. The gold-colored plating is consistent and bright with light scratches present. Very minor pitting is visible under the plating, most notably around the rear sight. The feed ramp is clean and free of blemishes.

This Type III configuration eliminates the barrel bushing and retains the model’s internal hammer, blowback, single-action operation. It uses a detachable single-stack magazine and offers an 8+1 capacity in .32 ACP.
Controls include a manual thumb safety and grip safety; the thumb safety also serves as a slide hold-open. The slide features vertical rear serrations with a top ejection port for the classic 1903 pattern.
Sights are fixed, with a half-moon front blade and an integral rear notch. The pistol wears black checkered hard rubber grips with the COLT banner and Rampant Colt emblem.
The non-standard gold-colored plated finish covers the steel slide and frame, giving this early 20th-century Colt a distinct presentation while preserving its core Browning-designed features.
