The BN-31 / Model 00503 configuration pairs the Blackhawk with a 7.5" barrel and a fluted six-shot cylinder, finished in blue across the frame, cylinder, and receiver. The hammer and trigger are left in-the-white, and a full-length under-barrel ejector-rod housing is fitted.
Chambered in .30 Carbine, this revolver headspaces on the case mouth. It is a single-action-only design and uses Ruger’s New Model transfer-bar safety system, which allows safe six-round carry.
Sighting is handled by an adjustable square-notch rear and a ramped, serrated front, offering a clear sight picture. The revolver is fitted with smooth wood grips featuring Ruger medallions.
