The vz. 52 stands out for its single-action, short-recoil, roller-locked mechanism, a design rarely used in handguns. Chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev with an 8+1 capacity and a 4.7 in barrel, it was engineered as a robust military sidearm with top ejection and fixed sights for a durable, duty-ready configuration.
Construction is all-steel with a gray phosphate finish on the frame and slide. Brown Bakelite grips with horizontal ribs and a transverse steel retaining strap provide a period-correct look and feel. A lanyard ring at the butt and a roller-lock cross-bolt takedown latch reflect its military service roots.
Controls include a right-side frame safety/decocker with a red fire index dot and a loaded chamber indicator, combining straightforward operation with clear status cues. The slide features rear serrations, a faceted profile, and a top ejection port, with a fixed blade front sight and a fixed square-notch rear sight.
This example bears the C.A.I. ST ALB VT import mark and has matching serial numbers on the slide and chamber. It ships with two original-pattern steel magazines and a correct vz. 52 leather flap holster, rounding out a complete, functional package from the 1950s Czechoslovak service era.
