The Thunder Hawk uses an inline percussion system with a percussion-cap nipple at the breech and an external striker handle on the right side. This simple, direct-ignition layout is paired with a cross-bolt safety that uses colored indicator dots for quick visual status.
The 24-inch blued steel barrel is clearly marked "BLACK POWDER OR PYRODEX ONLY" and is fitted with a ramped front blade and an open rear sight on the barrel. The receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope, and this rifle comes with T/C 1-inch scope rings already installed.
The wood stock has a straight comb and includes sling swivel studs and a T/C-logo buttplate. A one-piece underbarrel ramrod with a threaded tip rides in two thimbles, providing on-board loading and cleaning utility.
Trigger adjustability includes sear engagement and overtravel, allowing the user to fine-tune feel within the design’s parameters. The rifle is built on steel components with a matching blued receiver finish for a cohesive look.
Made in the USA and rollmarked Rochester, New Hampshire, this 1990s Thunder Hawk is chambered in .54 caliber with a single-shot capacity. The bore condition and sharp rifling support its ready-to-use status within the black powder category.
