What’s Included
- Eddystone M1917 Enfield Sporterized .30-06 bolt-action rifle
Built on the U.S. Model of 1917 Enfield action, this rifle uses a Mauser-derived, cock-on-close design with a non-detachable internal magazine for a 5+1 capacity. The receiver is marked 'U.S. MODEL OF 1917' over 'EDDYSTONE,' aligning it with U.S. military production from the WWI era.
The rifle is sporterized with an aftermarket walnut stock featuring a raised cheekpiece, a black grip cap with brass screw, a black buttplate with a white spacer, and a black forend tip with a white spacer. Sling swivels are installed, and the bottom metal is a sporter-style solid design without a hinged floorplate. Length of pull measures 14.0 in.
It retains its original military iron sights: the rear is the M1917 aperture/ladder unit within integral protective ears, and the front is the original pinned blade with twin protective ears. The barrel is 26 in and stepped, consistent with the platform’s military configuration.
Chambered in .30-06 and originating from the United States during the WWI era, this example carries U.S. Ordnance flaming bomb and inspector stampings on the barrel shank. It includes a manual safety and remains configured without an upper handguard in its sporterized form.
