The Nylon 11 is part of Remington’s pioneering Zytel-101 Nylon rimfire family, pairing a lightweight synthetic stock with a bolt-action mechanism and detachable magazine. The model was produced for a short run around 1962–1964, with approximately 22,400–22,500 units made, underscoring its appeal to collectors of early synthetic-stock rimfires.
It wears the classic Mohawk Brown finish with molded checkering, white line spacers, and a white diamond inlay. The grip-cap medallion is marked "Remington Nylon 11," and the rifle retains a blued finish on the metalwork. The receiver and barrel finish complement the two-tone bolt body and the bright, spoon-style bolt handle.
The 19.5-inch barrel is marked "22 SHORT LONG OR LONG RIFLE," offering flexibility across common .22 rimfire loads. Sighting is handled by a ramped front sight and an adjustable rear open sight, keeping the package fast and practical.
The rifle feeds from a detachable 5-round magazine with a stated 5+1 capacity. Length of pull is 13.75 inches, and the model’s approximate weight is about 4.5 lb (reference), contributing to its handy, well-balanced feel in the field or on the range.
Made in the United States during the 1960s, the Nylon 11 reflects Remington’s push into modern materials with DuPont’s Zytel-101 nylon frame and stock. A 24-inch barrel variant was cataloged in 1964, but this example is the standard 19.5-inch configuration.
