The heart of this P320 is its removable, serialized stainless-steel FCU, visible through the frame window. This modular design allows caliber and upper assembly swaps within the P320 system, and .40 S&W models can convert to .357 SIG with the appropriate factory components.
The compact format combines a 3.9 inch, conventionally rifled steel barrel with a compact grip for balanced handling. The stainless-steel slide includes front and rear serrations for confident manipulation, and the polymer grip module adds molded stippling and a beavertail for control.
Sighting is straightforward with dovetailed 3-dot sights, including a SIG-marked rear sight with H3 marking. Controls include a left-side slide catch and takedown lever, and there is no external manual safety.
A four-slot Picatinny/M1913 accessory rail on the dust cover supports common lights or lasers. Capacity is 13+1 with steel magazines marked 'Made in Italy.' This striker-fired configuration uses a curved trigger and is manufactured in the USA at Sig Sauer's Newington, New Hampshire facility.
