What’s Included
- Winchester Model 70 .375 H&H Magnum bolt-action rifle
- Two-piece scope bases installed
Built in the USA during the 1960s post-64 generation, this Model 70 uses the push-feed action with a jeweled bolt body and round bolt knob. It retains the Model 70 three-position wing safety on the bolt shroud and an internal box magazine with a floorplate, offering a 3+1 capacity in .375 H&H Magnum.
The 24 inch round barrel is blued and capped with a recessed crown. It is marked "MODEL 70 – .375 H&H MAGNUM" and fitted with a ramped bead front sight. There is no rear barrel sight; the two empty screw holes from the former rear sight base remain present on the barrel.
The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently wears two-piece scope bases, providing a solid foundation for mounting glass. Sling-swivel studs are installed in the stock, and there is no barrel-band front sling swivel.
The aftermarket walnut Monte Carlo stock features a right-hand cheekpiece, point-pattern checkering, a black fore-end tip with white/black spacers, and an inletted oval escutcheon. A Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad is fitted, and length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
Overall finish is blued on the barrel and receiver, consistent with the period configuration. This is a strong, clean example of a 1965 post-64 Model 70 set up in .375 H&H Magnum with thoughtful stock customization and practical mounting provisions.
