This Spanish-made Star BM is a compact, all-steel 9mm Luger pistol manufactured in 1978 and imported by Century Arms International. It features a Browning-type locked-breech design with a captured recoil spring and full-length guide rod, fixed front blade and drift-adjustable rear sights, and an 8+1 single-stack capacity. What’s Included
- Star BM 9mm Luger pistol
- One 8-round single-stack steel magazine with witness slots and a small baseplate lip
The Star BM follows a single-action, short-recoil, locked-breech system with a Browning-type swinging link. It uses an external extractor, a captured recoil spring, and a full-length guide rod, giving the design a straightforward and proven operating cycle.
Its compact profile combines a 3.77-inch barrel with an overall length of approximately 7.2 inches and a height of about 5.0 inches. Despite the compact size, the all-steel construction delivers a substantial unloaded weight of roughly 34–35 oz and a durable blued finish.
Controls and features include a manual thumb safety and a magazine disconnect. The slide has vertical rear serrations, and the pistol wears fixed sights: a front blade and a drift-adjustable rear notch for zeroing. Checkered grip panels provide a secure hold.
Markings include "MADE IN SPAIN" and Century Arms International import information from Georgia, VT on the right side of the slide. "Model BM" is stamped on the grip-frame heel, with a "78" stamp on the right trigger guard indicating 1978 manufacture. Capacity is 8+1 with the included single-stack magazine.
