    What’s Included

    • Winchester Model 62A pump-action rifle

The Model 62A is configured as a takedown rifle, using a large slotted takedown screw for easy separation of the barreled assembly and receiver. This design simplifies transport and maintenance while preserving solid lockup when assembled.

It is chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle and feeds them interchangeably from an under-barrel tubular magazine. The listed capacity is 14 rounds. A forward knurled magazine plug aids in speedy unloading and servicing.

The action is pump-operated with an exposed hammer and a top-ejecting, open-top receiver. Sighting is straightforward: a small blade/bead front sight set in a barrel dovetail and an open leaf rear with an adjustable elevator.

Construction is all-steel with a blued finish and walnut furniture. The straight-grip stock has a shotgun-style butt and a hard rubber buttplate bearing the Winchester Repeating Arms logo. The ribbed walnut fore-end provides a positive grasp. Length of pull measures 13.25 inches.

This rifle was manufactured in 1949 in New Haven, Connecticut, and features a 23-inch barrel that pairs well with the clean, mirror-bright bore and sharp rifling noted in the condition, supporting the rifle’s practical utility and preservation.
