Part of the Heirloom limited-edition series for 2024, this pistol pairs a case color–style frame with a matte dark, flat-top slide. The slide carries decorative factory scroll engraving, longitudinal top serrations, and rear cocking serrations only. The right side of the dust cover bears the model name Heirloom in script, and the left side of the frame is rollmarked DAN WESSON FIREARMS NORWICH, NY U.S.A.
The Commander-length 4.25 in match-grade barrel uses a traditional bushing system with a checkered bushing face and a short GI-style recoil spring plug. The barrel hood is marked MATCH and .45 ACP. Capacity is 8+1.
Controls remain true to a classic single-action 1911 platform: a short, solid trigger; rowel (Commander-style) hammer; left-side magazine release; single-side manual thumb safety; and a GI-profile grip safety. The frontstrap is checkered, and the mainspring housing is flat, giving positive purchase with the checkered double-diamond wood grips.
Sight picture is straightforward and durable, with a fixed black rear and a gold/brass bead front sight. This example is identified as number 212 of 400-500 produced, adding clear context to its limited availability. It was manufactured in the United States in 2024.
