What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 66 (no-dash) .357 Magnum revolver
Early no-dash Model 66s are known for their pinned barrel and recessed cylinder chambers, and this example aligns with that configuration. The yoke cut is correctly stamped "MOD.66" with no dash, and the K-frame 2K serial prefix corresponds to early 1970s production. The square-butt frame and six-shot fluted cylinder reflect the classic Combat Magnum layout.
The 4-inch heavy-profile stainless barrel is pinned and includes a shrouded ejector rod and serrated rib. It also has a knurled ejector-rod tip and a serrated topstrap. These factory features are consistent with early production details on this stainless K-frame.
Sight regulation is handled by a pinned, serrated ramp front sight and an adjustable square-notch rear sight. The revolver operates in double-action/single-action and is fitted with a smooth-face trigger and a checkered hammer spur. A checkered cylinder-release thumbpiece is also present.
Construction is all stainless steel with a brushed/satin finish on the frame, barrel, and cylinder. The factory checkered walnut service (Magna-style) stocks with S&W medallions complete the classic presentation. This configuration, combined with its 1972 manufacture date, makes it a strong example of the original stainless Combat Magnum.
