Kokura Arsenal Type 99 Arisaka Short Rifle, 7.7 Japanese, 26" Barrel, WWII Late-War with Intact Chrysanthemum
This Kokura Arsenal Type 99 Short Rifle is a late-war, simplified configuration from WWII with an intact Imperial chrysanthemum crest on the receiver ring. Note: the muzzle shows externally cut threads; this is a non-factory modification and not part of the original Type 99 configuration. Chambered in 7.7 Japanese with a stated 26" barrel and a 5+1 capacity, it retains hallmark late-war features including a rear sight base without anti-aircraft wings and a straight bolt handle. Marked with Kokura arsenal and circled series stamps, it presents as a collectible Japanese service rifle from the 1943–1945 period.
