Built on Colt’s D-frame, the Diamondback is part of the brand’s renowned snake-gun lineage and is chambered here in .22 LR with a six-shot fluted cylinder. The 6-inch barrel combines a ventilated rib and full underlug for steady sight alignment and balanced handling.
Adjustable sights and a ramped front sight provide a precise sight picture. The revolver uses a double-action/single-action system with a smooth trigger and a wide, checkered hammer spur for confident cocking.
Construction is all carbon steel with a uniform blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. The left frame shows the prancing Colt rollmark. Factory checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions are installed.
Documentation and packaging add to its appeal: the factory box end label specifies Finish "B," Barrel Length "6," Caliber "22," and Model "DS 160." The included manual and factory target sheet accompany the revolver, along with an extra Pachmayr grip set.
Made in the United States and dated to 1979, this example reflects the late-1970s production era while retaining the features that define the Diamondback’s fit and presentation.
