What’s Included
- Remington Model 550-1 .22 S/L/LR semi-automatic rifle
The Model 550-1 uses a semiautomatic blowback action with a Williams floating chamber to cycle .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle interchangeably. This versatility, paired with an under-barrel tubular magazine, makes it a practical rimfire platform for mixed-ammunition use.
The rifle is configured with a 24 inch blued barrel and a left-side ejection system. A small, serrated bolt handle on the right side provides positive control. The tubular magazine features a removable inner tube, and capacity is 15+1.
Sighting is handled by open iron sights, with a front blade and provision for a rear barrel sight. The one-piece hardwood stock has a small pistol grip and straight comb, with a 13.5 inch length of pull. A black hard-rubber buttplate with the Remington "R" medallion completes the stock furniture.
Markings include the "Remington" script and barrel rollmarks for "Remington Arms Co., Inc., Ilion, N.Y., Made in U.S.A.," "MODEL 550-1," ".22 S, L, & L.R.," and Williams patent numbers. This is a U.S.-made, post-WWII rimfire with the classic blued finish and period-correct configuration.
