Built during WWII for German contract, this Model 300 bears the WaA251 Waffenamt acceptance along with Eibar proof house markings, the crowned P final proof, and the Eibar date letter Ñ indicating 1943 production. The slide shows the correct "UNCETA Y COMPAÑIA / GUERNICA ESPAÑA" legend and Astra sunburst branding, reinforcing its provenance.
This compact pistol uses a fixed-barrel, simple blowback system with single-action operation and an internal (concealed) hammer. The tubular slide has longitudinal flutes and a knurled front bushing/lock. It features fixed sights with a blade front and notch rear. Barrel length is 3.9 inches, and capacity is 6+1 in .380 ACP.
Controls and safety features include a heel-type magazine release at the grip base, a manual safety, and a magazine safety. A lanyard ring is fitted at the heel. The pistol has a blued steel frame/receiver and checkered walnut grips.
Matching slide and frame serial numbers add to its appeal for collectors focused on German-accepted Astra pistols. This example remains complete with two factory Astra magazines bearing the sunburst logo on the flat floorplates, and it includes a period-style leather flap holster.
