The forged steel frame and slide are produced using the HBM (Hardened Before Machining) process and finished in matte gray for a uniform, military-style appearance. The slide is marked "M1911A1 GOVT." and bears the TISAS KNOXVILLE, TN stamp.
It follows a GI-pattern configuration: a 5 in Government-length barrel, GI recoil system with bushing and plug, fixed GI sights (small blade front and small notch rear), and rear-only slide serrations with a GI-height ejection port featuring an A1-style rear scalloped relief cut.
Controls and ergonomics adhere to the A1 pattern, including a short, solid trigger with frame relief cuts, a spur hammer, an arched and vertically serrated mainspring housing, and standard single-action operation with both thumb safety and grip safety. The magazine release is the standard style.
