The Smith & Wesson Model 431PD Airweight is a lightweight J-frame revolver chambered in .32 H&R Magnum with a six-round cylinder and a short 1.875-inch barrel. Built with an aluminum alloy frame and steel barrel and cylinder, it combines low weight with durable construction. This mid-2000s model had a short production run circa 2004–2005 and includes fixed sights, an exposed hammer for DA/SA operation, and an internal keyed lock.

This 431PD is part of Smith & Wesson's Airweight series, pairing an aluminum alloy J-frame with a steel, one-piece barrel and a carbon steel cylinder. The revolver wears a matte blue/black finish and black textured rubber finger-groove grips with S&W medallions for a secure hold.
Chambered in .32 H&R Magnum, it also accepts .32 S&W Long and .32 S&W cartridges. Capacity is six rounds, and the action is double-action/single-action with an exposed, checkered hammer spur for positive control.
The 1.875-inch barrel features a full underlug and a shrouded ejector rod. Sights are fixed with a ramped front blade and an integral rear notch for a simple, durable sight picture suited to a snubnose format.
Unloaded weight is about 13.4 ounces, and overall length is approximately 6-7/16 inches. The internal, frame-mounted keyed lock is incorporated as a safety feature. Production was limited to the mid-2000s, circa 2004–2005, and the revolver is made in the USA.
