It features a satin silver receiver with factory engraving and gold inlays celebrating Montana, paired with a blued 26-inch octagon barrel and a full-length tubular magazine. The receiver carries the "ONE OF 2000" marking, and the commemorative serial format includes "MT1889." No case is included.

Specific Condition Details: Broken pieces of the toe have been re-glued. Reinforcement and a refinish are recommended for the next owner. The buttplate was bent and reattached; gaps remain between the plate and the stock. This firearm is sold as-is.

This commemorative rifle showcases Montana-themed receiver engraving with gold inlays, including grizzly and bison motifs, the state seal, and "MONTANA 1889 / 1989" ribbons. The satin silver receiver contrasts with the blued barrel and is clearly marked "ONE OF 2000."
Chambered in .45-70 Gov't, it uses a traditional lever-action with a standard oval-loop lever. The rifle is configured with a 26-inch octagon steel barrel and a full-length tubular magazine for a 7+1 capacity.
Sighting is classic: a dovetail front sight paired with a buckhorn-style rear sight with a stepped elevator. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Stocks are checkered, high-gloss walnut with a straight-grip profile and a matching fore-end. Factory markings include "MADE IN JAPAN" and "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q." Production was handled by Miroku in Japan for Browning in 1989.
