Barrel was tapped all the way through to the bore. This rifle's barrel is not safe to fire.

The barrel carries the "HARTFORD" stamp on the top flat, and the tang is marked with the EMF CO. INC. S.A.

The rifle features a 24-inch octagonal blued barrel, an open-top receiver with top ejection, and an exposed hammer. The hardwood stock has a straight grip with an oil finish and a crescent steel buttplate, complemented by sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
