Philadelphia-marked production with matching serial numbers on the receiver, barrel flats, forend iron, and triggerguard tang underscores this gun’s consistency as a factory-assembled A Grade from the 1910s. The watertable carries the patent legend with 1905–1906 dates, and the rib bears the barrel address, aligning with its period-correct features.
The 30 inch barrels are made from Chromox fluid compressed steel, topped with a matted solid rib and a brass front bead. This setup provides a classic sighting plane for a 12 gauge A Grade of the era.
The break-action boxlock uses Fox’s rotary-bolt with a top-rib extension for secure lockup. It is configured with extractor (non-ejector) operation and double triggers, with a two-round capacity.
The steel receiver retains a casehardened finish and is factory engraved with light scroll on the receiver flanks, belly, top tang, and triggerguard bow, reflecting the A Grade’s understated decorative patterning from this period.
The walnut pistol-grip stock and splinter forend feature hand-cut checkering. The butt has an aftermarket Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad with a spacer stack. As configured and described, this piece would make for a good restoration project.
