The Model 503 is part of Armi-Galesi’s 500 series of vest-pocket pistols, built on a simple blowback action and chambered here in .22 Short. Its compact form factor and 6+1 capacity reflect the micro size for which these pistols are known.
Construction is all steel with a blued finish on both frame and slide. The barrel is fixed to the frame and measures 2.25 inches, projecting slightly at the muzzle. Rear vertical slide serrations, a shallow sighting groove, and a minimal front rib provide the intended sight picture and handling cues.
Sighting is via integral channel sights with a rudimentary front rib and integral rear channel. Controls include a manual thumb safety with a red dot fire indicator.
Grip panels are ivory-colored synthetic with AG medallions, adding the correct period look for the series. The slide carries the Brevetto legend, and the serial number is stamped on the front strap as typical for this model line.
Made in Italy, this example bears Gardone Val Trompia proof marks, PSF smokeless powder proof, and a 1958 date stamp, clearly situating it in the late-1950s production era.
