What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson .38 Military & Police pre-Model 10 revolver
Built on the S&W K-frame, this snubnose M&P pairs a compact 2-inch tapered carbon-steel barrel with a round-butt grip frame for concealability while retaining a six-shot cylinder. The blued finish over carbon-steel frame and barrel reflects the classic postwar M&P configuration.
It operates in double-action/single-action with a smooth, case-hardened trigger and a case-hardened hammer. The unshrouded, knurled ejector rod and five-screw-era frame (including the trigger-guard screw) are hallmark features of this period.
Fixed sights consist of a forged half-moon front blade and an integral topstrap groove rear, providing a durable, snag-resistant sight picture suited to a 2-inch defense-oriented revolver.
Stocks are checkered walnut Magna grips with S&W medallions and the diamond around the stock screw, a desirable detail associated with the era. The right side of the frame carries the four-line "Marcas Registradas" rollmark typical of postwar production.
As a C-prefix postwar example without a "MOD. 10" stamp in the yoke, this revolver is confirmed as a pre-Model 10 from the 1948–1951 era and was made in the United States.
