Built on Remington's long-action Model 700 ADL format, this rifle uses an internal blind magazine with a 3+1 capacity and is chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The 22-inch blued steel sporter barrel is marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.

The steel receiver employs Remington's three rings of steel design with a recessed bolt face and dual opposed locking lugs. The bolt body is engine-turned (jeweled), with a right-hand bolt and round knob. A two-position safety marked S and F provides straightforward operation.
Factory iron sights include an adjustable rear ramp/leaf and a front ramp with blade. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and Weaver-style two-piece bases and rings are already installed.
The walnut Monte Carlo stock features a cheekpiece, pressed (impressed) checkering, and a gloss finish, complemented by a black plastic buttplate. Sling-swivel studs are installed front and rear. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Era-appropriate proof and inspection markings include JY and 67, consistent with 1970s production in the United States.
