The post-1964 push-feed action uses a plunger ejector and small hook extractor, offering smooth cycling with an internal 4+1 capacity box magazine and a hinged floorplate. The floorplate can be released via the inside-the-guard lever, and the three-position wing safety allows loading and unloading with the safety engaged.
The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with two-piece scope bases marked with an encircled R, along with 1-inch rings, giving the rifle ready-to-mount capability for glass. Factory iron-sight provisions include a ramped front sight base with hood cut present and a folding, elevation-adjustable rear barrel sight.
Stock configuration is the classic right-hand Standard Sporter: walnut with a Monte Carlo comb and shadow-line cheekpiece, cut checkering on the forend and pistol grip, a black forend tip and pistol-grip cap with white-line spacers, and a buttplate with white-line spacer. Sling swivel studs are installed, and length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Construction is blued steel throughout with engine-turned jeweling on the bolt body. This rifle was produced in New Haven, Connecticut and falls within the 1970s era, with its G-prefix serial range consistent with 1977 manufacture.
