The Standard/Mark I pattern uses a simple blowback action housed in a tubular receiver with a cylindrical bolt and a right-side ejection port. This layout delivers the classic Ruger .22 automatic profile and operation that defined the series.
Construction is all steel, with a blued carbon steel receiver and a 5 inch tapered, round-profile barrel. Checkered black synthetic grips with a Ruger eagle medallion in the left panel provide a secure, period-correct grip frame treatment.
Sights are fixed: a front blade on a banded base, paired with a fixed rear notch. This is the traditional fixed-sight setup for the Standard/Mark I.
Controls include a manual thumb safety and a heel-release magazine catch at the butt. The pistol bears the Southport, Connecticut rollmark, and the 13- serial prefix indicates mid-1970s production, placing it outside the 1976 Bicentennial rollmark range. Made in the United States.
