This limited-edition A-Bolt II is distinguished by its commemorative features: an engraved elk-head crest on the hinged floorplate, an inletted elk-crest medallion in the stock, and a barrel roll-mark reading "WISCONSIN 2000 THE YEAR OF THE ELK." It is individually numbered and this example is No. 24 of 100.
Chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag., it uses a 26-inch steel barrel and a 3-round internal magazine with a hinged floorplate. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts (four holes), and the rifle is configured without open sights.
The rifle wears a blued steel finish with a walnut stock featuring a shadow-line Monte Carlo right-hand cheekpiece, cut checkering, sling swivel studs, and a Browning-branded rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 13.5 inches.
Controls and appointments include a top-tang safety with bolt unlock button, a gold-tone trigger, and a bolt body left in the white. The trigger guard carries the Browning Buckmark logo in gold.
Markings include "Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q., Made in Japan" and "U.S. Patent 4,723,359," reflecting production in Japan during the 2000 commemorative year.
