This late pre-war FN Model 1910 was manufactured in Belgium in 1939-1940 and is chambered in .32 ACP. The slide bears the correct legend "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL-BELGIQUE" with "BROWNING'S PATENT DÉPOSÉ," and the chamber is marked "CAL. 7.65." These markings, along with its compact profile, tie it directly to FN’s pre-WWII production.
The pistol uses a simple blowback, striker-fired, single-action system. It incorporates a manual thumb safety, grip safety, and a magazine disconnect, aligning with Browning’s design emphasis on multiple passive and manual safety measures for pocket pistols of the period.
Handling features include a heel-style magazine release, vertical rear slide serrations, and fixed sights with a small integral front blade and integral rear notch. The slide top is matted to reduce glare. Overall length is approximately 6 inches, and the barrel length is 3.5 inches, making it a very carryable compact.
Construction is all steel with a blued finish on both slide and frame. The pistol retains its checkered black FN monogram hard rubber/Bakelite grips. Notable Model 1910 characteristics are present, including the concentric recoil spring around the barrel, the distinctive knurled takedown bushing at the muzzle, and the absence of an external slide-stop lever.
