What's Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 14-3 K-38 Target Masterpiece revolver
The Model 14-3 is the K-38 Target Masterpiece variant, built on the K-frame in a square-butt target configuration. It is chambered in .38 Special with a six-shot fluted cylinder and a double-action/single-action mechanism, pairing classic target revolver ergonomics with smooth operation.
The 6-inch carbon steel barrel features a full-length serrated rib and a standard underlug/shroud. A Patridge-style front sight teams with an adjustable micrometer rear sight, and the serrated topstrap and barrel rib are configured to reduce glare across the sighting plane.
Construction is blued carbon steel throughout, complemented by a color case-hardened hammer and trigger. The ejector rod has a knurled tip, and the revolver retains traditional S&W target revolver lines without a full underlug.
Factory checkered walnut Magna stocks with S&W medallions are fitted to the square-butt frame, delivering the familiar K-frame feel. The revolver carries the S&W trade logo on the frame and standard Springfield, Mass. address markings.
Model designation "MOD. 14-3" is marked on the yoke, and the barrel is roll-marked ".38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG." The 3K serial prefix appears on the butt and yoke, consistent with the listed 1971-1972 production window in the 1970s era.
