Built in North Haven during the JM-era, this Model 1895 combines a blued steel receiver and 22" steel barrel with Marlin's side-eject, solid-top design. It uses a finger lever, a serrated hammer spur, and a cross-bolt safety with a red indicator.
Chambered in .45-70 Govt, the rifle feeds from a half-length tubular magazine with a 4+1 capacity. The side ejection enhances compatibility with the installed two-piece scope bases while retaining traditional lever-gun handling.
Iron sights include a ramped front sight base and a semi-buckhorn rear sight with an elevator for on-the-spot adjustments. The excellent bore and sharp rifling support strong accuracy potential with suitable loads.
The walnut pistol-grip stock and forearm feature cut checkering, a rubber recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. The stock carries Marlin's bullseye inlay, and the length of pull is 13.5. The rifle wears an even blued finish, and a leather sling with quick-detach swivels is included.
