Chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle, this Model 1906 is marked on the barrel "22 SHORT–LONG OR LONG RIFLE," confirming S/L/LR interchangeability. The under-barrel tubular magazine feeds through a knurled inner magazine tube cap, with typical capacities of approximately 11 rounds of .22 LR, 12 rounds of .22 Long, or 15 rounds of .22 Short.
The rifle is a factory takedown configuration, identifiable by the side screw that allows the barrel/magazine assembly to separate from the receiver/stock assembly. This was a hallmark feature of the design and makes the 1906 notably convenient to store and transport.
It retains the classic Model 1906 layout: a pump-action with an exposed hammer, an uncheckered slide handle, and a straight-grip hardwood stock fitted with a "WINCHESTER – TRADE MARK" hard-rubber buttplate.
