What's Included
- Winchester Model 63 Standard Rifle (.22 LR)
Operating on a blowback action with an operating sleeve, this Model 63 ejects from the right side and uses a 23-inch steel barrel. The takedown design allows the receiver and barrel assembly to separate from the buttstock for transport and maintenance.
The rifle uses a buttstock-housed tubular magazine with 10-round capacity, loaded through a right-side stock port and serviced by a removable inner tube. A checkered steel shotgun-style buttplate incorporates the latch for the magazine tube.
Materials and sights are true to the period: blued steel barrel and receiver, a walnut buttstock with a slight pistol-grip, and a walnut fore-end. Sighting is via a dovetailed front blade (no hood) and an open rear sight with a stepped elevator. The barrel is rollmarked "WINCHESTER – MODEL 63 – 22 L. RIFLE – SUPERSPEED & SUPER-X."
Factory markings include "MADE IN U.S.A." and "PROOF STEEL." The assembly suffix "A" is present on the serial markings. This Standard Rifle configuration was manufactured in the United States in 1948.
