This Single-Six is the Convertible dual-cylinder variant, supplied with fluted cylinders for both .22 LR and .22 WMR. Capacity is six rounds, and the action is single-action with Ruger’s transfer-bar safety system. The 4.625 inch barrel length keeps the revolver compact while maintaining practical sight radius and handling.
The NR-4 / Ruger Model 0623 configuration includes adjustable iron sights: a ramped, serrated, pinned front blade paired with an adjustable square-notch rear. This setup supports precise zeroing across the two rimfire chamberings.
Construction features a steel barrel, cylinder, and frame, with an aluminum-alloy grip frame finished to match. The external appearance presents a uniform blued finish on the barrel, frame, cylinder, and ejector-rod housing. The hammer and trigger are bright in-the-white, adding classic contrast. The ejector system uses an under-barrel rod with a crescent-shaped head and spring-loaded housing for positive case extraction.
The barrel and cylinder are carbon steel with right-hand 1:14 twist rifling, six grooves, and good, well-defined lands. Smooth hardwood plow-handle grips with Ruger medallions complete the traditional Single-Six profile. Markings include the Ruger Southport, Connecticut rollmark and safety warning, consistent with its 2001 manufacture.
