What’s Included
- Colt Official Police .38 Special revolver with 6-inch barrel
- Micro adjustable rear sight and Micro ramped Patridge front sight (installed)
- Aftermarket checkered wood target-style stocks without Colt medallions (installed)
Built in 1930, this pre-war Official Police showcases Colt’s E-frame long-action lockwork in a 6-inch configuration chambered in .38 Special. The revolver is finished in blued carbon steel with a six-shot fluted cylinder and the classic Colt rearward-sliding cylinder latch.
An aftermarket Micro sight conversion sets this example apart. The topstrap has been professionally milled to accept a Micro adjustable rear sight, paired with a Micro ramped Patridge front sight. Both sights carry Micro brand markings, providing a fully adjustable iron sight setup.
The revolver wears aftermarket checkered wood target-style stocks (no Colt medallions), offering a firm hold. Other correct features include the unshrouded ejector rod with knurled tip and the top-of-barrel address/patent text that remains present.
Mechanically, it is configured as a DA/SA with Colt’s Positive Lock hammer-block safety. Inspector letters “T” (above) and “N” (below) are present on the frame recess (crane window); the crane/yoke is numbered but does not carry these letters, and the crane/yoke and frame recess show matching serial numbers, supporting its cohesive configuration.
