This West Hurley, NY Auto-Ordnance 1911A1 is a pre-Kahr, U.S.-made Government-size .45 ACP with a 5-inch barrel and classic markings, including the Thompson bullet logo. It features a two-tone finish with polished blued slide flats, a matte slide top, and a matte gray/parkerized frame, wears Pachmayr Signature Model wraparound rubber grips, and retains fixed 3-dot sights and period-correct features. The TGM-prefix serial aligns with the West Hurley production era.

The pistol follows Government-model dimensions with a 5-inch barrel, standard barrel bushing, and a checkered recoil spring plug. It is a single-action design with a left-side-only manual thumb safety and a grip safety.
Controls and features include a wide spur hammer and a solid, serrated-face trigger. The slide has rear-only vertical serrations and a standard GI-style ejection port (not lowered/flared) consistent with its configuration.
The fixed 3-dot sight system pairs a white-dot front blade with a fixed square-notch rear carrying two white dots.
