The Police Service-Six is Ruger's fixed-sight variant within the Six Series, built on a solid, sideplate-less stainless-steel frame for durability. This example uses investment-cast stainless construction with a uniform brushed finish across the frame, cylinder, and 4-inch barrel.
The revolver operates in double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer and a smooth trigger. Ruger's transfer-bar safety system is built in. Sighting is straightforward and rugged, with a ramped front blade and a fixed rear notch milled into the topstrap.
Chambered in .357 Magnum, it uses a six-shot fluted cylinder and a Ruger push-button cylinder latch. The ejector rod features a knurled tip for positive manipulation.
Factory markings are present: the right side of the frame is rollmarked "POLICE SERVICE-SIX" with the Ruger phoenix logo; the right side of the barrel is marked ".357 MAGNUM CAL."; and the left side of the barrel carries the Ruger address/warning. Aftermarket Pachmayr Gripper rubber grips are installed. Origin is the United States, with production in the 1980s era.
